Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module (ECM) checks the camshaft sensor signal continuously while the engine runs. The fault is stored when the module detects that the signal is missing. It can lie in the sensor, in the supply and signal wires or in the ground.
Mulige årsaker
- Loose connections
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
- Open circuit or short circuit to ground in the supply wire to the sensor
- Open circuit or short circuit to ground in the signal wire
- Open circuit in the ground lead
- Damaged camshaft sensor
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1If you have a diagnostic tool, start the engine and read the fault status. 'No fault found' means the fault is not active right now.
- 2Check that the fuses are intact.
- 3With the ignition off, check that the connector at the camshaft sensor is secure and free from oxidation and contact resistance.
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the supply and signal wires to the camshaft sensor have no open circuit and are not shorted to ground.
- 5Check that the ground lead to the camshaft sensor is secure and not broken.
- 6If the fault returns, have a workshop check the camshaft sensor.
Symptomer du kan merke1
- Engine does not start but cranks
