Hva betyr feilkoden?
The fault concerns ignition coil B, and the signal wire from the engine control module (ECM) to the coil is shorted to ground. The code is stored when the incorrect value stays over several driving cycles in a row.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance and oxidation in the connections
- Signal wire short circuit to ground
- Damaged ignition coil
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1If you have a diagnostic tool, start the engine and read the fault status. 'No fault found' means the fault is not active right now.
- 2Check that the fuses are intact.
- 3With the ignition off, check the connector at ignition coil B for contact resistance and oxidation.
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire to ignition coil B is not shorted to ground (the body).
- 5Check that the wire to ignition coil B has no chafing, since chafing can cause a short to ground.
- 6If the fault returns, have a workshop check ignition coil B and its wire.
