The code applies to ignition coil F, which is the coil for cylinder 6. The engine control module (ECM) controls the coils and checks their signal through a separate diagnostic line. The code does not say which type of fault it is.

- Signal wire short circuit to ground or supply voltage

Hva du kan gjøre
- 1If you have a diagnostic tool, start the engine and read the fault status. 'No fault found' means the fault is not active right now.
- 2Check that the fuses are intact.
- 3With the ignition off, check the connectors to the ignition coil for cylinder 6 for contact resistance and oxidation.
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wires to the ignition coil for cylinder 6 have no open circuit and are not shorted to ground or supply voltage.
- 5Check that the ignition coil is secure and not damaged.
- 6If the fault returns, have a workshop test the ignition coil for cylinder 6 and the wires to it.
