The fault is a short circuit to supply voltage on the line that carries the signal for the glow plug lamp, sent over CAN to the instrument cluster (DIM). Although the code is named as a heater indicator circuit fault, it applies to the lamp in the instrument cluster.

Hva du kan gjøre
- 1If you have a diagnostic tool, switch on the ignition and read the fault status. 'Fault found' means the fault is permanent.
- 2Check that the fuses are intact.
- 3Switch on the ignition and look at the glow plug lamp in the instrument panel. Check whether it behaves as normal.
- 4Read ECM-P038111, ECM-P038113 and ECM-P038119 with the diagnostic tool as well, since they may be related to this code.
- 5Check that the wiring in the CAN network has no chafing that could touch supply voltage.
- 6If the fault returns, have a workshop trace the fault in the CAN network and the instrument cluster (DIM).
