Hva betyr feilkoden?

The ECM drives the glow plug lamp over the CAN network to the driver information module (DIM) in the instrument cluster. A fault in the signal to that lamp sets the code: the current in the circuit is too high. The fault is mainly electrical.

Fault on the CAN network between the engine control module and the instrument cluster
Fault in the driver information module (DIM)
Fault codes ECM-P038111, ECM-P038112 and ECM-P038113 may be the cause, so read them at the same time

Hva du kan gjøre

1Check that the fuses are intact; their locations are in the instruction manual or the fuse chart
2Switch the ignition on and check whether the glow plug lamp in the instrument panel lights and goes out as normal
3Read and clear the fault code, switch the ignition on again and see whether it comes back
4If you have a diagnostic tool, read the fault status to see whether the code is active with the ignition on or only stored as an earlier fault
5Check that the connectors at the instrument cluster are secure and free from oxidation
6If the fault comes back, have a workshop trace the CAN network and the instrument cluster
