Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and sets the fault when the flow is too low. Although the code is named as excessive flow, the condition is a flow that is too low through the EGR system. The fault can be caused by an air leak in the intake system or by a blocked or damaged EGR valve.
Mulige årsaker
- Air leak in the intake system
- Blocked or clogged EGR valve
- Damaged EGR valve
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check that the EGR valve can be fully closed and opened without sticking; dirt and soot can make it stick
- 2Check that the EGR valve or its connections are not blocked or sooted up again
- 3Look at the EGR valve's O-ring and gasket for damage
- 4Check the intake system for air leaks, such as loose hoses and connections
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool, read the EGR valve position at idle and check that it changes when the engine runs
- 6After a repair or replacement, a workshop needs to carry out an adaption of the EGR valve
