Hva betyr feilkoden?
The ECM monitors the idle control and the actual idle speed when the vehicle is stationary and the engine is idling. The code is set when the idle speed stays above the nominal idle speed for a set period. The cause may be leaks or blockages in the air or fuel system, or another fault code stored in the module.
Mulige årsaker
- Fault in the air or fuel system, such as air leaks or blockages
- Air leak in the intake system
- Diagnosis is carried out via another fault code stored in the module
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1At high and unsteady idle speed: check that the intake system does not leak and that the hoses and connections are undamaged
- 2Read the codes in the engine control module and repair any other fault codes first, as they may be the cause
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, read the idle speed in live data with the engine idling and see whether it stays steady while the car is stationary
- 4Clear the code and road test the car, or let the engine idle for a while and see whether the code returns
- 5If the code returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the idle control and the intake system for leaks
