Hva betyr feilkoden?
The ECM reads oil pressure through the combined oil pressure and oil temperature sensor. The fault is stored when the module detects a general signal fault from the oil pressure sensor, where the signal is erratic and not steady. The module then uses a fixed oil pressure value instead of the measured one.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
- The combined oil pressure and oil temperature sensor is damaged
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Check the connector at the oil pressure sensor for contact resistance and oxidation, and see whether it sits loose
- 3If the connector is clean, use a multimeter to check that the signal wire from the sensor has no open circuit or short to ground
- 4If you have diagnostic equipment: read the oil pressure in live data with the engine running and see whether the value jumps around erratically
- 5If the connector and wiring are sound, have a workshop check the combined sensor and replace it if needed
