Hva betyr feilkoden?
The ECM reads oil pressure through the combined oil pressure and oil temperature sensor. The fault is stored when the signal from the oil pressure sensor is too low while the engine is running. The module then uses a fixed oil pressure value instead of the measured one.
Mulige årsaker
- Open circuit or short circuit in the wiring to the sensor
- The combined oil pressure and oil temperature sensor is damaged
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Check the connections at the sensor and the control module for loose or corroded terminals
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wiring from the sensor has no open circuit and is not shorted to ground
- 4If you have diagnostic equipment: read the oil pressure in live data with the engine running and check whether the value stays at an unrealistically low level
- 5Clear the code and road test the car. If the wiring and connections are sound, have a workshop check the combined sensor
