Hva betyr feilkoden?
The ECM checks that the signals from the brake pedal sensor and the brake light switch are reliable. The code concerns a high signal in the circuit to the brake pedal sensor or the brake light switch, or a fault in the CAN communication with the brake control module (BCM). It is checked while the engine is running.
Mulige årsaker
- The cause may be in the BCM or the CEM
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2If you have diagnostic equipment: read the fault codes in the BCM and deal with them first, as this code cannot be cleared until the BCM fault has been dealt with
- 3If you have diagnostic equipment: read the brake light switch status in live data while you press the brake pedal
- 4Check that the connectors at the brake light switch and the brake pedal are seated properly and not corroded
- 5Use a multimeter to check that the wire to the brake light switch is not in contact with supply voltage
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop check the brake light switch and the brake pedal sensor, as the fault concerns the brake system
