Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module monitors the drive signal to the fuel pump control module and sets the fault code when it detects a fault on that signal, because the PWM signal from the engine control module is too low. The fault can come from the signal wire, a supply wire between the CEM and the fuel pump control module, or a fault registered by the CEM.
Mulige årsaker
- A fault logged by the central electronic module (CEM)
- Short circuit to ground in the signal wire
- Open circuit in the signal wire
- Open circuit in the supply wire between the CEM and the fuel pump control module
- Damaged fuel pump control module
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Before going further, check whether the CEM has stored fault codes for the fuel pump or its relay, and trace those first
- 2Check that the connectors at the fuel pump control module are secure and free from oxidation
- 3With the ignition off and using a multimeter, check that the signal wire has no break and no contact with ground
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: read the fuel pump load in live data with the engine warm at idle and see whether the value looks normal
- 5If the fault remains after these checks: have a workshop decide whether the fuel pump control module needs replacing
