The engine control module has detected a fault in the signal circuit to the cooling fan control module, and the circuit is open. The electric cooling fan is controlled on a speed request, so when the signal is broken the fan cannot follow it. Related codes for the same fan circuit are ECM-P069211, ECM-P069212 and ECM-P069219.

- Open circuit in the signal wire
- Loose connection, contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
- Damaged cooling fan control module
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read and clear the fault code, and test-drive to see whether it returns
- 2Check the fuse for the electric cooling fan in the owner's manual
- 3Look at the signal wire and the connectors at the cooling fan control module for loose contacts, oxidation and a break in the wire
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire is intact between the connectors, with the connectors disconnected
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool, read the requested fan speed in live data and check whether the fan follows it while the ignition is on
- 6If the fault remains after these checks, have a workshop check the cooling fan control module
