Hva betyr feilkoden?
The fault concerns glow plug 4, which heats the combustion chamber when a cold engine is started. If it does not work, starting becomes harder. The code is general and does not say what type of fault it is.
Mulige årsaker
- Short circuit in the signal wire between the glow plug relay and the glow plug
- Damaged glow plug
- Voltage from the glow control unit is too low
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read and clear the fault code, and start the engine when cold to see whether it returns
- 2Check the glow system fuses in the owner's manual
- 3Look at the connector on glow plug 4 and the wire from the glow relay for loose contacts, oxidation and chafing
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, activate glowing and check in live data whether glow plug 4 follows along
- 5Use a multimeter to check that the wire to glow plug 4 has no contact with ground (the body), with the connectors disconnected
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop check the glow plug and the glow control unit
