Hva betyr feilkoden?
The fault is intermittent, that is sporadic, and it does not need to be present right now. The engine control module compares the speed from the speed sensor with the speed from the camshaft sensor. If the speed sensor value is lower, this is treated as a fault.
Mulige årsaker
- Open circuit in the signal or ground lead
- Signal wire short-circuited to ground or supply voltage
- Contact resistance in the connections
- Damaged engine speed sensor
- Damaged carrier plate
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read and clear the fault code, and test-drive to see whether it returns
- 2Look at the connectors at the speed sensor for loose contacts, oxidation and chafing
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal and ground leads are not broken, with the connectors disconnected
- 4Check that the signal wire has no contact with ground or voltage, with the connectors disconnected
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the speed sensor and the carrier plate at the flywheel
