Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the voltage on the signal wire to the starter relay. The code is set when the voltage lies below a set threshold for a set time, which is treated as a fault. The fault is checked when the engine is started.
Mulige årsaker
- Signal wire shorted to earth
- Break in the signal wire
- Damaged starter relay
- Open circuit in the supply feeding the starter motor
- Damaged control module
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check that the fuses are intact. The locations are shown in the instruction manual or on the fuse list
- 2Check that the starter relay is intact and firmly fitted in its mounting
- 3Check that the connectors at the starter relay and in the wiring are firmly seated and free from play, oxidation and contact resistance
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire to the starter relay has no break and is not shorted to earth (the body)
- 5Check that the supply wire to the starter motor has no break. If the fault remains, have a workshop investigate the control module
