The code concerns neutral position sensor A and indicates that the character of its signal is wrong: the frequency of the signal is incorrect. The sensor sends its signal as a modulated pulse or frequency signal, and the fault is checked with the engine running. The sensor measures the angle of the gear lever against the gearbox input shaft.

- Loose contact or oxidation in the connector
- Break in the signal wire
- Damaged neutral position sensor
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check that the fuses are intact. The locations are shown in the instruction manual or on the fuse list
- 2Check that the connector at the sensor is firmly seated and free from looseness and oxidation
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire to the sensor has no break
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, check in live data that the sensor signal changes as the gear lever is moved, rather than staying still
- 5If the fault remains after these checks, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the sensor signal
