The engine control module (ECM) monitors the integrated output stages for the injectors and how long the injectors are open. The fourth digit of the code shows which of cylinders 1 to 4 the fault applies to. The code is set when the injection time is incorrect.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
- Open circuit in the wiring
- Short circuit to supply voltage
- Damaged injector
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Check the connector to the injector for the cylinder the code points to, for contact resistance and oxidation
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wire to the injector is not broken and has no contact with ground or battery positive
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool: activate the injector for the relevant cylinder and check that it operates
- 6If you find no fault: have a workshop check the injector
