This code concerns a fuel pressure that is too low on the high-pressure side. The engine control module (ECM) compares the pressure with the largest permitted deviation below the correct value, and the check is made with the engine running. A low fuel level in the tank is one of the causes, but leaks, air, a blocked filter and damaged control valves can also cause the fault.

- Low fuel level in the tank
- Waxing of diesel at low fuel temperatures
- Internal or external fuel leak on the high-pressure side, or poor fuel supply on the low-pressure side
- Blocked fuel filter
- Damaged fuel flow control valve or fuel pressure control valve
- Air in the fuel system
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Start with the simplest check: look at the fuel level in the tank and top up if it is low.
- 2Deal with any fault codes for the fuel pump first.
- 3Search the fuel system for leaks, and have a workshop check whether the fuel filter is blocked.
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, compare the measured and requested fuel pressure in live data at idle. The difference should be small.
- 5Have a workshop check the injector valves, the fuel flow control valve and the connectors and wiring of the fuel pressure sensor.
