Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the function of the EGR valve and sets the code when the signal from the EGR valve position sensor is incorrect or unreasonable. The causes are a valve stuck in the closed position, a valve that sticks, a contact problem, or a damaged position sensor or EGR valve.
Mulige årsaker
- The EGR valve has jammed in the closed position
- The EGR valve sticks, for example due to dirt or soot
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
- Damaged position sensor
- Damaged EGR valve
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check that the fuses are intact and that the connector to the EGR valve is secure and clean.
- 2Look for dirt or soot around the EGR valve, which can make it stick in the closed position.
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, follow the EGR valve position value in live data with the engine running and check that it follows the valve.
- 4Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the position sensor and the EGR valve. If either is damaged it needs replacing.
- 5After the work, clear the code and drive the car to see whether it returns.
Symptomer du kan merke1
- Text message and warning symbol in the display
Hva feilen kan påvirke1
- No EGR control takes place
Generell veiledning for bileiere. Feilsøking på bilen kan peke på en annen årsak.
