Hva betyr feilkoden?
The code concerns the signal to the injection valve for cylinder 4. The engine control module (ECM) monitors the valve's output stage and how much fuel it injects, and sets the code when something does not match, for example if the quantity becomes too large.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance or corrosion in the connectors and connections
- Loose connector
- Open circuit in the signal wire, or in the positive or negative wire
- With fault code ECM-P120412: the signal wire is shorted to voltage, or the injection valve is damaged
- With fault code ECM-P120411: a short between the signal wires, or the signal wire is shorted to ground
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Cylinder 4 is the fourth cylinder counted from the right-hand side of the vehicle, with cylinder 1 furthest from the flywheel.
- 2Check that the fuses are intact. Their location is in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover.
- 3Check the connector to the cylinder 4 injection valve for looseness, contact resistance and corrosion.
- 4With the ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the wires to the cylinder 4 injection valve have no break and no contact with ground or voltage.
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the cylinder 4 injection valve and listen for it working.
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop check the cylinder 4 injection valve and its control.
