Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module (ECM) measures the gap between requested and actual throttle position. The code is set when that difference has been large enough to affect emissions. The fault may lie in a sticking or blocked throttle, the connectors, the throttle unit or another stored fault code.
Mulige årsaker
- Other fault codes stored in the engine control module
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections between the throttle unit and the engine control module
- Damaged throttle unit
- The throttle is sticking or blocked, for example by an oil film, dust or ice
- Ageing: the position sensor responds more slowly than before
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check that the fuses are intact; their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 2Start the engine and read the throttle position in live data at different accelerator pedal positions; the value should match the pedal position
- 3Switch the ignition off and check the throttle unit and engine control module connectors for contact resistance and oxidation
- 4Check that nothing blocks the throttle and that it is not sticking
- 5Clean the throttle unit when needed, for example if it has an oil film, dust or ice on it
- 6Fix any other fault codes in the engine control module before the throttle unit is replaced
