Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine has demand-controlled piston cooling, run by an electric valve. The engine control module (ECM) monitors the signal from the oil pressure and temperature sensor, which is used to check the pressure drop when the valve opens. The code is set when that signal is incorrect. The fault may lie in the wiring or the connectors to the sensor.
Mulige årsaker
- Damaged cables or connectors
- Signal wire shorted to the supply voltage
- Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable
- Open circuit in the wiring between the engine control module and the oil pressure and temperature sensor
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check that the fuses are intact; their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 2Check the wiring and connectors to the oil pressure and temperature sensor for damage, chafing and loose connections
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no open circuit and no contact with supply voltage or ground (the body)
- 4Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment compare the sensor pressure value with the other pressure sensors before the engine is started
- 5Replace the oil pressure and temperature sensor if the fault remains and the wiring is intact
