Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module (ECM) continuously monitors the voltage from the rear heated oxygen sensor on bank 1, which is the cylinder row nearest the front with cylinders 1, 3, 5 and 7. The code concerns sensor 3 and is set when the voltage is not within the permitted range, which here shows as the signal sticking in the lean position.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance and oxidation in the connections
- Signal wire shorted to earth
- Open circuit in the signal wire
- Damaged rear oxygen sensor on bank 1, sensor 3
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Start the engine, let it idle for a while, and then read the status of the code
- 2Check the connectors to the rear oxygen sensor for contact resistance and oxidation. Rust-dissolving spray and grease should not be used in the connector
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no break and is not shorted to earth
- 4If the wiring is in order, try a new rear oxygen sensor
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop diagnose further
