Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module (ECM) drives the EGR cooling bypass valve through an internal power stage inside the module. The code is set when the signal to the EGR cooling bypass valve is incorrect, and it gives no more specific fault type.
Mulige årsaker
- Signal wire short-circuited to supply voltage (code ECM-P245D00)
- Damaged bypass valve (code ECM-P245D00)
- Signal wire short-circuited to ground (codes ECM-P245A00 and ECM-P245C00)
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connectors (code ECM-P245B00)
- Open circuit in the signal wire (code ECM-P245B00)
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check that the relevant fuses are intact; their locations are shown in the car's owner's manual
- 2Inspect the connectors at the bypass valve for loose contacts and oxidation
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire to the bypass valve is not short-circuited to ground
- 4Start the engine and read the code to see whether it is still present
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the bypass valve
