The ECM considers the oil temperature sensor reading unreasonable and sets the code. The name of the code refers to the oil level, but the condition concerns the oil temperature. The fault may be an incorrect oil level or a damaged oil level sensor.

Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check the oil level with the dipstick to see whether it matches what is displayed
- 2Check that the relevant fuses are intact
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, read the oil temperature in live data and see whether the value seems unreasonable compared with the engine temperature
- 4Check the connector to the oil level sensor for contact resistance and oxidation
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the oil level sensor and the oil temperature sensor
