Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module (ECM) is disconnected from CAN network C when it detects that communication is blocked by a serious disturbance, which is called bus-off.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
- Open circuit in one of the CAN wires
- Short circuit between the CAN wires
- Internal fault in the ECM
- Internal fault in another control module on the same part of the CAN network
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read the code with a diagnostic tool and check whether it is active or only stored
- 2Check the connectors to the engine control module and to the other control modules on CAN network C for contact resistance, looseness and oxidation
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wires on CAN network C have no break and are not shorted to each other
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: read the codes in the other control modules and note which ones also show communication faults
- 5Have a workshop check whether another control module on CAN network C is sending wrong messages

- Check engine light comes on or behaves abnormally
- The engine lacks power, especially when pulling away from standstill
- The engine hesitates or jerks when driving at a steady speed
- Uneven idling
- Cruise control does not engage

- The engine control module stops communicating on the CAN network and switches itself off
- The engine control module stays off until the voltage supply has been broken, and makes new attempts to communicate when the voltage is connected again
