Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module (ECM) gets signals from the forward sensing module (FSM) and the central electronic module (CEM) and applies braking help when a collision threatens, as part of the adaptive cruise control function. The code is set when one of the input signals from the CEM or the FSM is lost. The brake support for collision risk then stops working. Although the fault is named a sequence counter problem, the code concerns a missing signal.
Mulige årsaker
- The fault is in the forward sensing module (FSM)
- The fault is in the central electronic module (CEM)
- Open circuit in the communication cable
- Communication cable short-circuited to ground or to voltage
- Contact resistance, oxidation, open circuit or short-circuit in the connections
- The software in the engine control module has not been upgraded
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read the fault codes in the engine control module. If any of ECM-U012088, ECM-U000188, ECM-U1A1400, ECM-U000108 or ECM-U000100 is stored, check it first.
- 2Read the fault codes in the FSM and CEM and remedy them first. The code in the engine control module is then a follow-on fault.
- 3Check that the connectors in the CAN network between the engine control module, the FSM and the CEM are secure and clean. Look for loose or chafed wiring.
- 4Have a workshop check whether the engine control module software needs upgrading, as this requires programming.
- 5Do not replace the CEM for a CAN fault unless a workshop has confirmed an internal fault in it.
