The front display module (HLDF) is linked to the multimedia module (MMM) and reads the video signal from it. The fault code is set when the signal is incorrect. The front display then does not work.
Mulige årsaker
- Open circuit on the signal cable
- The signal cable is shorted to earth
- The signal cable is shorted to supply voltage
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check that the fuses are intact. Their location is in the owner's manual or on the cover of the fuse box
- 2If possible, check the display's function with the controls or on a road test to see whether the fault shows
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the video cable between the display and the multimedia module has no break and is not shorted to earth or supply voltage
- 4Check the connectors at the display and the multimedia module for play and oxidation
- 5Clear the fault code and road test to see whether it returns
- 6If the wiring is intact, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the signal from the multimedia module
