ICM tests whether the CD button or the volume button has jammed. The code is set when either has been held active for longer than allowed, so the label button 4 does not match the CD and volume buttons that are actually checked.

1Check that the fuses are intact. Their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
2Press the CD button and the volume button separately and see whether each returns
3Check that the buttons are not sticking and that there is no dirt around them
4With a diagnostic tool, check in live data that the CD and volume values switch when their buttons are used. A workshop can replace the keypad if stuck
