Although the code is named pulse width modulation, it applies when the PWM signal from the electric rear axle drive control module (IEM) is missing. The fault is set while driving in gear D or R. The causes are a software fault in the IEM or an internal fault in the voltage converter (ISC). Electric propulsion is then not possible.

- 1Have a workshop download new software to the IEM and check that the download completes. High voltage systems may only be handled by qualified personnel
- 2Have a workshop check the voltage converter (ISC) if the fault remains after the software download
- 3Do not carry out any work on the high voltage system yourself
- 4After the repair, check that the code is not stored again while driving in gear D or R
