Hva betyr feilkoden?
The head unit (IHU) receives information from the brake control module (BCM) over CAN and monitors the link to it. The code is stored when communication with the BCM is lost.
Mulige årsaker
- An open circuit in the communication line
- A short to ground in the communication line
- A short to supply voltage in the communication line
- Contact resistance, oxidation or breaks in the connections
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read and clear the code, then check whether it comes back
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Check that the connectors in the connections are firmly seated and free from oxidation
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the communication line has no break and no short to ground or supply voltage
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop trace the communication line further
- 6The braking system is safety-critical, so do not work on the brake control module or the braking system yourself; have a workshop do it
