Hva betyr feilkoden?
The keyless vehicle module (KVM) compares the signals from the switch in the door handle and the switch in the lock cylinder on the left front door. The code is stored when the lock cylinder switch is activated before the handle switch has registered. Although the code is named signal missing, it concerns the switch in the door handle, which is then treated as faulty, and unlocking of the door can be delayed.
Mulige årsaker
- The left front door handle switch is faulty
- Open circuit in the wiring between the module and the left front handle switch
- The signal wire has a short to ground
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read and note the code, clear it, then pull the left front handle and check whether the door unlocks immediately
- 2With the ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the wire between the KVM and the handle switch has no open circuit and no connection to ground (the body)
- 3Make sure the ground point for the door control module is firmly fixed and free from oxidation, and that the ground wire between the handle and the door module is intact
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: pull the handle out and check that the handle switch value in live data shows activated
- 5Have a workshop replace the door handle if no other fault is found
Symptomer du kan merke1
- The door unlocks with a delay
Hva feilen kan påvirke1
- The keyless vehicle module (KVM) does not send the unlock signal to the central locking straight away when the handle is pulled
Generell veiledning for bileiere. Feilsøking på bilen kan peke på en annen årsak.
