Hva betyr feilkoden?
The parking brake module (PBM) supplies the left brake caliper through an output and monitors the voltage level there. The fault code is stored when the voltage is too low and an incorrect signal remains for a longer time. It can be caused by a short circuit in the motor circuit, a damaged fuse, poor contact or an open circuit in the connections, or a damaged control module.
Mulige årsaker
- Short circuit in the motor circuit
- Damaged fuse
- Contact resistance, oxidation or open circuit in the connections
- Damaged Park Brake Module (PBM)
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and test drive the car using the parking brake to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the battery has a good charge and that its terminals are clean and firmly fitted
- 3Check the connectors to the left brake caliper for looseness, oxidation and corrosion
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: activate the left brake caliper and see whether the voltage reported by the parking brake is lower than expected
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop check the motor circuit and the Park Brake Module (PBM)
- 6The parking brake is a safety function: have a workshop check it if it does not work as it should
Symptomer du kan merke3
- Information lamp is on
- Message in the text display
- Electric parking brake works with reduced function
