The driver and passenger door modules (DDM/PDM) both send and receive information via LIN, a standardised serial communication method. On LIN bus 1 they communicate with the rear door control modules and the switch panel in the driver's door. The module has detected that the signal is incorrect, and the check is made with a checksum that shows whether the message is valid.

- The fault lies in the control module that sends the signal

- 1Read and clear the code, then run a test drive and check whether the switch panel in the driver's door and the rear door window lifts work
- 2Check the fuses in the fuse box and make sure they are intact
- 3Check that the connectors between the door modules and the switch panel are secure and free from moisture and oxidation
- 4Check the cable between the door modules for visible damage
- 5Have a workshop check the control module that sends the signal, using diagnostic equipment
