The driver and passenger door modules (DDM/PDM) both send and receive information via LIN, a standardised serial communication method. On LIN bus 1 the rear door control modules and the switch panel in the driver's door are connected. The module has detected that the signal is missing.
Mulige årsaker
- Open circuit in the communication cable
- Communication cable is shorted to ground
- Communication cable is shorted to supply voltage
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
- Open circuit in the connections
- Short circuit in the connections
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read and clear the code, then run a test drive and check whether the switch panel in the driver's door and the rear windows work
- 2Check visually the cable between the driver or passenger door module and the rear door control modules for visible damage
- 3Check the connectors in the doors for loose, oxidised or corroded contacts
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the communication cable is intact with no open circuit, and that it has no contact with ground (the body) or voltage
- 5If the wire is intact but the code comes back: have a workshop check the rear door control modules and the door module
