Control modules on the CAN network must share the same signal configuration ID to work together. The telephone module (PHM) checks its ID against the one that the central electronics control module (CEM) sends out when communication starts. The fault is stored when they do not match, and the telephone module then switches itself off from the network.
Mulige årsaker
- Incorrect configuration ID because the module is not intended for the car, for example a used unit with different software or hardware
- Break in the CAN wires between the telephone module and the central electronics control module (CEM)
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read the fault codes in the central electronics control module (CEM) with diagnostic equipment. Any codes for lost communication there should be traced first
- 2Has the telephone module been replaced, or does it come from another car? If so, a workshop needs to load the correct software
- 3Check that the connectors in the CAN wiring at the telephone module are firmly seated and not corroded
- 4If the fault remains after these steps, have a workshop download new software to the telephone module and verify the result
