The tailgate control module (POT) reads the sensor signal from the closing motor of the tailgate. The fault is stored when the sensor does not change status, or when closing takes too long, which happens once the tailgate lock unit has been activated to close. No substitute signal is then used.
Mulige årsaker
- Damaged sensor in the tailgate closing motor
- Loose cables or connectors in the tailgate lock unit
- Internal fault in the motor that closes the tailgate lock unit
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Look at the tailgate lock unit for loose connectors and damaged cables
- 2Close the tailgate with the button and see whether it closes all the way in one movement
- 3Clear the code and check whether it returns
- 4If it returns, a workshop should check the sensor and the closing motor with diagnostic equipment, and replace them where needed
