The tailgate control module (POT) receives a signal from the switch in the tailgate's external handle that stays in the activated state for too long. This can be caused by the handle jamming in the open position. The tailgate's automatic function and closing may then be disturbed.
Mulige årsaker
- The outside handle is stuck in the open position
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check that the external handle moves freely and has not jammed, and that nothing is blocking it
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: check that the status of the handle switch does not show pressed in when nobody is pressing the handle
- 3Check that the cable between the control module and the handle is intact and that the connectors at both ends are firmly seated and free from oxidation
- 4If the cable is intact: replace the external handle, or have a workshop do it
- 5After the work, check that the handle works normally and that the fault does not come back
