The control module receives information from the central electronic module (CEM) over CAN. The fault is stored when the CEM itself reports a lower quality level for that information than expected, and this lasts for a longer period. It is an information code that does not need repair, and it does not indicate a fault in the module where it is stored.

- 1Read and note the fault code; it normally does not need repair
- 2If the steering feels abnormal, read the fault codes in all control modules and have a workshop check the central electronic module (CEM), since the information is sent from there
