The supply to the control module is too high for a longer period, and the fault code is set when this happens. Power steering assistance control can then be affected.

- 1Read and note the fault code
- 2Check the battery voltage and see whether it is higher than normal
- 3Check that the fuses are intact and that the connectors in the supply are secure
- 4If the fault returns, have a workshop check the battery and the supply to the control module
- 5Steering is a safety system: have a workshop check the car if power steering assistance does not work
