Hva betyr feilkoden?
The power seat control module (PSM) has detected serious interference on the CAN network, the shared communication network the control modules in the car use to talk to each other. Communication is then blocked and the module cannot be reached.
Mulige årsaker
- Short-circuit in the CAN wiring
- Open circuit in the CAN wiring
- Internal fault in the seat control module
- Internal fault in another control module on the same part of the CAN network
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read the codes in the central electronic module (CEM); if communication faults are stored there, fault-trace them first
- 2With the battery negative lead disconnected, check the CAN wires with a multimeter for open circuits and shorts to ground or voltage
- 3Check that the connectors to the seat control module are firmly seated and free from oxidation
- 4If another control module is disturbing the communication, have a workshop locate it with diagnostic equipment
- 5Have a workshop establish whether the seat control module itself is faulty before it is replaced

- Power seat with memory function does not work at all
- Automatic seat and door mirror adjustment does not work
- Remote operation does not work

- The control module switches itself off ("bus-off")
- It stays off until the power supply is interrupted and reconnected, then it makes a new attempt to communicate
