Hva betyr feilkoden?
The rear electronic module (REM) has found that a child lock in one rear door reads unlocked while it should read locked. The reported status is therefore wrong, and the child lock does not behave as intended. The fault may be in the position switch, in the wiring or in the relay.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance and oxidation in the connectors
- A rear-door lock motor has jammed in one position
- The lock motor position switch in one of the rear doors is faulty or shorted to ground
- The cable from the lock motor position switch in one of the rear doors is shorted to ground
- Open circuit, short to ground or to supply voltage in the wiring to the child-lock relay, which runs from the power window switch
- Damaged child-lock relay
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1With the ignition on and a diagnostic tool, read the child-lock status in both rear doors while toggling the function. Both should change together
- 2If the status does not change in one door, only the circuit for that door needs checking
- 3Toggle the child lock; the door should open from inside only when it is unlocked
- 4Check the connectors to the lock mechanism and to the rear control module for oxidation and loose contacts
- 5If no wiring fault is found, the lock mechanism may be jammed
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the rear electronic module (REM) and the relay
Symptomer du kan merke1
- The child-proof lock does not work
