The rear electronic module (REM) has seen the child-proof lock in one of the rear doors change from unlocked to locked without the function being switched on. The fault may lie in the position switch, the wiring or the relay.
Mulige årsaker
- The lock motor position switch in one of the rear doors is faulty or shorted to ground
- The cable from the lock motor position switch in one of the rear doors is shorted to ground
- Open circuit, short to ground or to supply voltage in the wiring to the child-lock relay, which runs from the power window switch
- Damaged child-lock relay
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Use a diagnostic tool to read the child-lock status in both rear doors without switching the function on, and see which door changes status
- 2With the child-proof lock switched off, check that the doors open from inside as normal
- 3Switch the child-proof lock on and off and check that the status changes in both doors at the same time
- 4Check the connectors in the position switch and in the rear control module for oxidation and loose contacts
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the position switch, the wiring and the relay
