Hva betyr feilkoden?
Steering wheel position signal R2 reads too high. The fault is intermittent and may have occurred earlier without being active now. Possible causes are poor contact, a short to supply voltage, an open circuit in the wiring, or a defective control module.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance or oxidation in connections and connectors
- Short circuit to voltage supply
- Open circuit in the wiring
- Defective control module
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the connector at the steering wheel angle sensor is firmly seated, clean and free from corrosion
- 3Inspect the wiring between the sensor and the control module for chafing and loose clips, especially where the cable moves
- 4With diagnostic equipment, follow the R2 signal in live data while turning the wheel slowly and check that the value follows the wheel smoothly
- 5Stability control is off while the fault is present, so have a workshop repair it promptly if it returns
