Hva betyr feilkoden?
The right side obstacle detection control module (SODR) communicates continuously with the central electronic module (CEM). The code is set when communication between them has been interrupted or is missing. The fault may lie in the wiring or in how the control modules are programmed.
Mulige årsaker
- Fault in the central electronic module (CEM) or in the communication to it
- Open circuit in one or both CAN wires along part of the network
- Short circuit between the CAN wires, or between a CAN wire and ground or voltage
- Incorrect signal configuration in the control module that set the code, for example after a replacement where no new software was loaded
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read the fault codes in the car; if several control modules hold codes for missing communication, start with the CEM
- 2Check that the fuses are intact and that the CEM has a power feed and ground connection
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the CAN wires have no open circuit and no short to ground or voltage; disconnect the battery negative lead first
- 4Gently wiggle connectors and wires while you measure and see whether the reading changes
- 5Clear the fault codes, start the car and read the fault codes again to see whether the fault returns
- 6If the code is only stored in the SODR, a workshop needs to reprogram it with the latest software
Symptomer du kan merke3
- Blind spot warning (BLIS) stops working
- Cross traffic alert (CTA) does not work
- Yellow warning symbol and message in the display
