The SRS has registered that the resistance in the igniter circuit for the right side impact airbag (SIPS bag) is too low. This points to a short circuit in the wiring, in the connectors or in the airbag itself. The fault is intermittent, so it may not be present right now.
Mulige årsaker
- Short circuit in the igniter wiring or in the connectors between the SIPS bag and the SRS control module
- Short circuit in the SIPS bag, giving too low resistance in the igniter
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Have a workshop visually check the connector under the right seat and the connector to the SRS control module for chafed, crushed or corroded wiring
- 2Have a workshop examine the wiring between the seat and the SRS control module for chafing and crush damage, especially where it moves when the seat is adjusted
- 3Clear the code and see if it comes back
- 4If it comes back, have a workshop measure the circuit and check the SIPS bag with diagnostic equipment
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it
