The airbag control module (SRS) monitors the voltage in the circuit to the switch that turns the passenger airbag on. The fault is stored when the voltage is too high or missing altogether, which can be caused by a wire that has come into contact with voltage, an open circuit, or poor contact in the connections.

- Short circuit in the connections
- Open circuit in the wire
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop look at the connectors at both ends of the wire to the switch, for looseness and contact resistance
- 3Have a workshop check the wire for a break and for contact with voltage
- 4Have a workshop correct the fault and confirm the code does not come back
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out the check and the repair
