The airbag control module normally receives information from the engine control module (ECM) over CAN. The code is set when the engine control module sends information of lower quality than the airbag module accepts. That the code is stored points to a fault in the other control module, and fault-tracing starts there.

Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read out the fault codes in the car and start with those in the engine control module (ECM)
- 2Have a workshop fault-trace the engine control module (ECM), since it is the transmitting control module
- 3Do not erase the code until the fault in the engine control module has been remedied and its code has been erased
- 4After the repair, switch the ignition off, switch it on again and see whether the code is gone
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it if the code returns
