The airbag control module software does not match the software in the closing velocity module (CVM), because the CVM software is incorrectly configured. Fault-tracing comes down to reprogramming the airbag control module with the latest software.

- 1Read out the fault codes in the car and start with those relating to the closing velocity module (CVM)
- 2Have a workshop check that the software in the closing velocity module (CVM) is correctly configured, and reprogram the airbag control module with the latest software
- 3After programming, switch the ignition off, switch it on again and see whether the code is gone
- 4Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out all checks and repairs
