At some point the steering wheel module (SWM) has seen the Seek+ key and the Seek- key pressed together on the audio and phone control switch. The fault is intermittent, so it has occurred but may not be present now. The combination is treated as invalid, and the steering wheel buttons for radio and phone may stop working.

1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
2Check that the Seek+ and Seek- switches on the audio and phone unit do not stick in the pressed position
3If you have a diagnostic tool: read the buttons in live data and check that Seek+ and Seek- never give a signal at the same time
4If the code does not return, no further action is needed
5If the fault returns, have a workshop check the control switch and the steering wheel module (SWM)
